Dan Torres Founder CEO & CFO
Dan has 30+ years of experience in formulation development, scale-up, problem-solving, and equipment modification at Perrigo and TEAM Pharma. Dan excels at marrying client needs with cost-effective, quality-driven solutions. Dan discovers solutions to especially daunting problems through unconventional thinking, hands-on evaluation, and collaboration with other experts. Through Dan’s many years of experience and successful project execution, Dan has built a reputation as an easy to work with team builder and problem solver. Dan is a contributing author to three published papers.
E. John Lee R.Ph. President
John has developed his 30+ years of expertise in formulation development, problem-solving, and scale-up at Upjohn, Pharmacia, Pfizer, and TEAM Pharma. John was the lead formulator for several solid oral dose branded prescription products. During his years of work, John developed proficiency with most solid oral dose technologies. John has experience with statistical experimental design. Experience, backed with science leads John to develop robust formulations within a short period. As a primary inventor on a patent and contributor to three other patents, John takes pride in discovering novel solutions to challenging problems. John attended The Ohio State University.
Mary Lou Sedlock, Ph.D. QA Supervisor
Dr. Sedlock has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She started as a research scientist in new compound evaluations at Upjohn and Pharmacia. Prior to coming to TEAM she held the position of quality assurance supervisor at Eurofins/Av Tech Laboratory. She has extensive experience with GMP/GLP regulations, training, and compliance. Her experience extends to reference standards, USP reviews, and controlled substance regulations. Dr. Sedlock has B.S. degrees in psychology and chemistry and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Pittsburgh.
Joel Light Pharm.D., R.Ph. Scientist
Joel has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sciences. Through successive roles at Perrigo as a formulation scientist, project manager, group leader, and QbD program formulation lead, Joel has the experience to see the entire project arc from concept to commercialization. Joel’s experiences include PAT, DOE, lean sigma, CMC documentation, and FDA inspection interaction. Joel excels at exploiting interdisciplinary connections to enhance product and process understanding. Quality and robust processes both in the manufacturing plant and lab are always at the forefront of Joel’s thinking.

Our Story
After nearly 20 years with a global pharmaceutical company, Dan started TEAM Pharma out of a belief that a team approach will result in solutions for solid oral dosage forms.
TEAM began by developing formulations and quickly solving problems in a building behind Dan’s home. The constraints of the 2,400 square foot building were quickly evident, necessitating a move to TEAM’s current 30,000 square foot building in Kalamazoo. This move allowed for the establishment of a cGMP processing space and flexibility to meet increased demand for services and complexity of projects.
Over the years, the TEAM facility has expanded with many added pieces of processing and testing equipment to be able to better serve you. Our story continues as we look to adapt to your needs.
